The New York Jets have not been able to back up claims to be competitive in the AFC East and now will have to face a hungry Indiannapolis Colts team in week 11. Jets fans were majorly disappointed in a blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals and you will likely see a lot of brown bags at this one. But a wil would give them some desperately needed confidence. The New York Jets were established in 54 years ago in 1960. Originally the Titans, the team became the Jets in 1963. They played at the Polo Grounds before relocating to Shea Stadium and finally the Meadowlands Sports Complex in 1984. Although they share a stadium with the Giants, the team does an amazing job making the arena feel like it belongs exclusively to the Jets organization.
The Jets have appeared in the playoffs 14 times throughout their history, most recently in 2010. Their only championship was in 1968 where Broadway Joe Namath led the team to a 16-7 victory over the Baltimore Colts.
The Jets are led by head coach Rex Ryan known for his brash demeanor. Quarterback Geno Smith and backup Michael Vick look to establish dominance in the AFC east.
